I was browsing the "cream of wheats" to buy for my husband while I was in the store this week. I spotted this orange little gem. Luckily it was on sale, so I grabbed a box to give it a try.

It was very easy to prepare, taking a maximum of 3 minutes total! After it was cooked I added a handful of blueberries and 1/4 tsp honey to each boys' bowl.

They "went fishing" for the blueberries. Both asked for more, so I made a second batch. I do believe this is our new (and might I say cheap!) favorite hot breakfast!
Other "mix-in" ideas...other berries, 100% maple syrup, and mashed bananas. In whatever combinations you desire!!!
I do plan to explore the "grind your own rice" concept! Will let you know how it turns out!

my favourite easy cereal is quinoa flakes - add water and nuke in the microwave in about 2 min.. the think i like most is the protein content of quinoa... it sticks to your ribs!
